NEW ORLEANS & ST. LOUIS – October 12, 2022 – Advantage Capital, venture capital firm, small business lender and impact investor, is set to prominently participate at SOCAP Global October 17 – 20 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA) in San Francisco. As an Investment Partner and thought leader with two on-stage speaking spots, Advantage Capital will play an active role in the content and outputs of the event.

SOCAP is a thought leadership platform that convenes the largest, most diverse, impact investing community to help foster a more equitable economy. This is the first time since 2019 SOCAP will be hosting its global event in-person, and Advantage Capital’s Managing Director Ryan Brennan and Managing Director and Chief Impact Officer, Sandra M. Moore, are scheduled to speak at the event. Ryan’s session, “Is ESG Worth Saving?” will debate topics around the value proposition for (ESG) and Sandra’s session, “Turning ‘No’ to ‘Yes’ When Seeking Funding,” will examine the essential qualities leaders and investors exhibit in successful impact fundraising.

“SOCAP provides a unique opportunity for leaders to come together in one room to exchange ideas and inspire action to work vigorously on ways to leverage capital to drive change and positive outcomes. We at Advantage Capital do this through investing in small businesses, financing affordable housing and funding renewable solutions. I am excited to bring these important conversations to the conference.” said Moore, set to speak at SOCAP Global. “Additionally, it is imperative that business leaders and investors begin to prioritize equity and empowerment for all entrepreneurs and business owners to create positive outcomes for communities.”

Advantage Capital is sponsoring the “Accountability” track, which includes content around increasing transparency and ensuring meaningful measurement within impact investing.  The “Accountability” track aligns well with the firm’s emphasis on measurable, tangible community impact driven investing.

“As leaders from across the world come together to challenge the status quo so entrepreneurs and business owners can thrive in today’s market, we are eager to help shape and participate in the conversation,” said Brennan, set to participate in mainstage panel at SOCAP Global. “Thought-provoking discussion and debate with impact-oriented, solution-minded leaders is sure to deliver action in the industry.”

With more than 70 sessions spanning four days, attendees at the 15th SOCAP conference can expect an action-packed agenda with diverse perspectives.

“Our partners have always been essential to the success of SOCAP, but none more so than this year,” said Robert Munson, SOCAP Global President and Sorenson Impact Center Managing Director.” This is truly a community effort led by a group of like-minded organizations whose support for our shared global vision for impact has made all of this possible. We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Advantage Capital.”
