Leading impact investor, Advantage Capital, today announced the expansion of its senior leadership team, naming Brian Anderson, Tom Bitting and Franchesca Lorio as the firm’s newest Managing Directors.

“As we continue to grow and expand the scope of our operations and impact, strong leadership is essential,” said Steven Stull, President, Advantage Capital. “We are thrilled to name and announce these new additions to our senior leadership team, as each will play a prominent part in advancing and accelerating our investment strategy.”

Brian Anderson will continue his role as a leading member of the firm’s Investment Group, helping to guide deal sourcing efforts, and provide strategic oversight, due diligence and valuation analysis for current and prospective investments. Anderson is also the investment lead for the firm’s Empower the Change Fund—a growth equity fund dedicated to investing in underrepresented entrepreneurs and low and moderate income communities.

As a founding member of Advantage Capital’s renewable energy investment platform—which raised $1.2 billion in capital commitments last year—Tom Bitting leads on all aspects of investments, origination, and the asset management process for renewable energy funds.  Bitting also serves as a member of the renewables Investment Committee.

Franchesca Lorio provides leadership in all aspects of the firm’s accounting and financial management across all business lines. Additionally, she directs the firm’s information management systems and has overall responsibility for periodic reporting to the firm’s investors, lenders and other various stakeholders.

Anderson, Bitting and Lorio have all held previous leadership positions within the firm. As Managing Directors, they will help shape the strategic direction of the firm going forward, bringing their leadership and valuable expertise to support small businesses, finance affordable homes and expand access to renewable energy solutions.
