Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners

Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners is actively seeking to make investments in U.S. companies involved in all aspects of the food and agribusiness value chain, partnering with strong management teams to create long-term sustainable value in businesses. Leveraging Advantage Capital’s experience, we pride ourselves on having deep knowledge of investing in rural areas.

With investments ranging between $2 and $15 million primarily targeting small businesses located in rural areas, we can provide growth capital and help fund buyouts, acquisitions and recapitalizations by taking minority or control equity positions and offering mezzanine financing. Some – but not all – of the industry themes we are exploring include sustainable and organic agriculture; better-for-you branded food; indoor agriculture and vertical farming; and the reduction of food waste throughout the supply chain.

Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners, LP is a $154.5-million investment fund formed in 2014 by Advantage Capital and nine Farm Credit organizations through the Rural Business Investment Program.

Only investors that qualify as “accredited investors” as defined in Regulation D under the Securities Act of 1933, “qualified purchasers” as defined in the Investment Company Act of 1940, and/or “qualified clients” within the meaning of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 will be permitted to review offering materials or subscribe for interests in any funds referenced on this website or in other materials provided by Advantage Capital.  In order to qualify as an investor in a fund, individuals and institutions must provide certain information and satisfy certain criteria, which is discussed in greater detail in the fund’s confidential private offering memorandum and related documentation.  Advantage Capital has not admitted any new investors to Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners since the fund closed in 2014 and has no intent to open to fund to new investors during the life of the fund.

“We invest in companies involved in the production and processing of food. It’s no secret that businesses in rural America face a shortage of investment capital. Advantage Capital Agribusiness Partners is focused on making impactful investments to foster growth and job creation in those rural communities.”

– Damon Rawie, Managing Director
